Frequently
Asked Questions
We’re a membership-based pediatric clinic that follows the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model. That means you pay a simple monthly fee for ongoing access to care without insurance billing, surprise charges, or rushed appointments. It allows us to take our time, build real relationships, and care for your child in a way that works for your family.
No, we do not require insurance it for membership. But we still recommend having insurance to comply with federal law. Insurance can provide coverage for catastrophic events, hospitalization, vaccinations, major surgeries, specialist care, and other expensive, unexpected health needs. Being a member of our practice covers your child's primary care needs. Our Direct Primary Care model works well with high deductible insurance plans.
Membership includes access to visits (in-office, virtual, or in-home* ), same- or next-day sick visits when available, longer appointment times, and direct communication with your provider. You’ll also receive support for feeding, sleep, behavior, development, and school/daycare forms, plus member gifts and family events throughout the year. For more detailed information visit our Services Page.
We care for children from birth through age 21. Our services are personalized to each stage of development, from in-home newborn visits to young adult mental health support.
At this time, we only offer care through ongoing membership. That’s how we’re able to offer the kind of time, access, and relationship-based care that makes a real difference.
With the exception of newborns, in-home visits are available upon request for an additional fee. For newborns (0–2 months), up to 7 (5 well checks plus 2 unanticipated illness) visits are accomplished in your home. After that, in-home visits are available upon request congruent with the other memberships. Use of an in-home visit does not prevent the patient from utilizing in-office or Telehealth options included in the membership. It's one more way we try to meet families where they are.
Some HSA and FSA plans may allow you to use funds toward your membership. We recommend checking with your plan administrator. We’re happy to provide a receipt or documentation if needed.
We help coordinate those referrals and stay involved in your child’s care. While we don’t provide specialist or emergency care ourselves, we’ll assist you throughout the process and help make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
You’re welcome to enroll multiple children. If you have questions about how membership works for your family, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to walk you through it, or access our Services Page to find more information.
Yes! We offer a complimentary meet & greet to help you decide if The Pediatric Collective is the right fit for your family.
